Pure pleasure

Rougir de plaisir

Carmen, the latest cuvée created by Domaine de la Soucherie (30ha), is an easy-drinker packed with lush fruit. IGP Val de Loire rated, it is made chiefly from Gamay grapes, which provide its crisp style and spicy notes. In supporting roles, Grolleau imparts the wine’s floral bouquet; and Cabernet Franc, its backbone. The packaging plays with contrasts: a special dark bottle with a fashionable pink, Liberty-patterned label. Wrapped in pink silk paper, it can be served like a gift to friends at get-togethers. The shipping cases are similar in style. It’s on sale for €9.90 incl. VAT. at the estate shop.
