Patrick Baudouin is extending his footprint in Scandinavia. After Sweden in 2010, Norway and Finland are succumbing to his Anjou reds and whites as well as his Quarts de Chaume and Coteaux du Layon sweet wines. In 2011, importers and wholesalers “filled their shopping baskets” with Baudouin’s wines for distribution to the restaurateurs, specialist wine retailers, etc. in their networks. Thanks to these new customers, the export share of the estate’s sales has surged to 20%. The producer, who farms 12ha of organic vines, is also present in Asia and the US. And now he is exploring the Russian market.
