Multi-sustainable
Ackerman is investing in sustainability, through a three-pronged programme: environmental, business and social. The négociant’s wine production and bottling facility has an internal plant to pre-treat all its own wastewater before release. There’s a similar focus on waste, with a particularly advanced sorting system able to recycle up to 14 types of waste. The facility is also geared to cut its water consumption and recover energy. In the business and social area, the firm has purchasing contracts with about 50 growers who have become loyal partners. You can discover the firm’s sustainable-development programme at the fair.
