Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair: the countdown begins!
PDAs at the ready! From Monday to Wednesday, 6-8 February 2012, the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair will hold its 26th edition in Angers. This trade-only event, which brings together the entire Loire Valley vine & wine community, hosted 600 exhibitors and over 9,000 French and foreign buyers in 2011.
In 2011, 13% of visitors came from abroad, compared to 12% in 2010. Among French visitors, Horeca professionals proved to be serious fans of the Loire region: they represented 21.9% of visitors to the 2011 fair – a figure that enhances Loire wines’ dominant position in restaurants, which average sales of 6.3 bottles (75cl) a day.
Today, backed by the regional trade body (IVVL), the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair has become one of Europe’s leading wine exhibitions. It continues to strengthen its reputation as a top international meeting-place that helps wine marketers connect and do business with importers from Europe and worldwide.
